Baker, Chippendale, Gorham and more . . .

Sneak peek #57 -- OMG, this was the Monday from Hell!  It took 10 of us a total of 58 hours to create the end result.  We had a great response to our Sidewalk Sale and many items were sold and needed to be delivered or moved to storage to await pick-up.  Other items were being reclaimed and had to be taken down or rolled up in the case of a large rug.  The movers also brought in many of the new things to be consigned and then we had to decide if we had room for these items to come into the shop or did they need to go to storage for a few weeks.  While this is going on we also had 12 consignment appointments for small items that takes the first 2 hours of the morning. Everything has to be marked, priced, entered into the computer and price tags made then applied to each item.  Furniture coming into the shop from storage also has to get new tags with the current date.  During lunch, we managed to fit in a small birthday party for 3 of our special "Monday girls" with a cake that was to die for!  YUM!  So, after all of this, we now have a lovely shop with a complete new look that we hope you will enjoy.

Dining room tables

It's September and school is back in session so that means that the holidays are rapidly approaching.  Did you know there are only 15 more Fridays until Christmas?  How scary is that?  To help get you ready for Halloween (you need a nice table to brew your Witches Potion), Thanksgiving (you will have to provide room for all your family in-laws, out-laws, whatever) and then Christmas (you know Santa needs a place to sit down and enjoy his cookies and milk) so why not come to The Courtyard where we always receive lovely pieces of furniture and now is no exception.  We currently have an abundance of dining room tables some with chairs and some without.  Some are very formal and high-end while others are more casual.  We have Queen Anne and Chippendale, Kittinger, Thomasville and Pottery Barn to name a few.  We have tables with a large rectangular glass top and a round 60" cement top, a 44" banded mahogany top, some have leaves others don't.  At least 9 of these tables are located in our storage facility and have not yet been in the shop.  There are 5 more in the shop waiting to find a new home so that others can be brought in.

Below are a few showing more detail.  This is a banded mahogany Thomasville table with 8 chairs (2 arm, 6 side) and is priced at $1,500.

We also have a long rectangular table that includes 9 chairs shown in the left and middle photo, priced at $995 "As Is"  The photo on the right is of a Pottery Barn table with a drawer and 6 chairs.  It is currently in the shop and priced at $895 however on Wednesday, September 3, it will go down to $760.75, the automatic reduction of 15% that occurs when any item has been in the shop for a period of 30 days.

Kittinger dining room table

We have a beautiful Kittinger banded mahogany dining room table that measures 48"x79" plus 2 additional leaves that would allow at least 10 people to dine in comfort.  It is in very good condition and to make this even more tempting for you -- the price went down today to just $2,720.  To add to the quality and beauty of this table, we have 6 Chippendale mahogany dining room chairs -- 2 arm chairs and 4 side chairs.  These were also reduced today to $2,125.  As you walk into The Courtyard, this table is just inside the door and you see it immediately when you enter.  This is a wonderful opportunity to own something of amazing quality that will last for many years to come and where you and your family can create memories of holidays and special events in your lives.

Sneak peek #26 -- another busy Monday for the merchandisers and volunteers taking in new consignments, tagging each item and then finding the perfect location to show them off to their best advantage.  We have a beautiful Kittinger dining room banded table with 3 leaves, a set of 6 Chippendale dining room chairs, a gorgeous antique sideboard, 9 framed botanicals, lamps, sets of china and many small items all newly arrived in the shop today.  Come in for a personal look at these great items.

Antique furniture reductions for Spring!

We have decided to do a few price reductions with the consent of the consignors and you, our customers, are the winners!  We have a lovely antique Chippendale sofa now priced at $1,500, two antique carved wooden side tables with marble tops each priced at $325, two pink upholstered side chairs at $250 each and a Baker's rack priced at $225 -- all from the same estate -- each has been reduced to give you the opportunity to purchase these beautiful items for your home.

As the previous post shows, we also have several Oriental carpets that have been reduced in price.  These combined items all encourage customers to come into the shop to see these things in person before they are gone.  You won't find this quality at such great prices anywhere else.
