Nutcrackers to go!

NUTCRACKERS any one?  We received a lot of them yesterday at The Courtyard many in unusual shapes and sizes.  These arrived just in time for the upcoming holidays and would make perfect gifts for the collector in your family or circle of friends.  

If you would prefer some other items to help decorate your home why not new holiday dishes?  We have both formal and informal -- even a set that shows how to build a snowman!  Really cute.

 

And Santa's?  Well of course, we have those too!

"Sleighbell Special #7 -- our last special of this Christmas season.  Tomorrow, December 23rd, is the last day we are open until after Christmas therefore, it is your final opportunity to come in for this last item.  We are offering a pair of red Oriental cabinets/armoires each priced at $125.  Come in early for your chance to buy one or both of these and have them in your home before Santa arrives.

"Sleighbell Special" #5 -- this offering is for a nice all wood table that measures 35" x 43" but by adding the 2 leaves becomes 72" x 43".  Very flexible because of the leaves -- use it without any, add 1 or just both -- it's up to you and what you need at any given time.  This  is now priced at just $150 so come in early Tuesday morning when we open and it can be in your home before the holidays.

We are very grateful to our loyal and supportive customers who have responded well to this Christmas campaign and have purchased 3 of the 4 items we have offered so far.  There will be another item listed tomorrow night and the last one on Monday night.  The shop will be open Tuesday from 10 am until 5 pm and then we will be closed until Friday, December 26th.

Only 4 shopping days left at The Courtyard until Christmas so Santas' elves have decided to help you complete your gift list!  Last night we posted on our Facebook page and the featured item was sold within the 1st hour of business today.  We are hopeful this will continue because all of the funds will go to support Wellness House and everyone is a winner.  Tonight we are offering a large LED lighted china cabinet with 4 glass doors and glass shelves.  It is 72" wide and 18" deep.  Don't need a place for china and crystal?  Then re-purpose it for something else -- books, collections of figurines, birds, toys, etc.  All of this for only $300.  Come early to see what a great cabinet this is and make arrangements for delivery before Christmas.  Shop The Courtyard First!  Watch for our postings each night through the 22nd of December.

Sneak peek #43 -- Christmas is coming, ho, ho, ho!  And we are getting ready to make your shopping experience easier.  Many items have come in specifically for the holidays -- set of Christmas china, vintage tablecloths, ornaments, stockings, even a Lenox tree topper. We have also received several sets of beautiful formal china and Waterford crystal.  "Shop The Courtyard First" and come shop with us!

Post-Christmas SALE

We wanted to let our customers know that we will be having a "blow-out" sale of all Christmas items that were donated at the end of business on Saturday, Dec. 21.  They have been drastically reduced and will be ready for you to purchase when we re-open on Thursday, Dec. 26 -- available for 3 days only.  These items won't last long so come in first thing to get the best selection.  Our shop will open at 10:00 am Thursday morning and we will have our regular hours until closing on Saturday when we will close until Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014. Only the donated Christmas items will be on sale -- all of our other merchandise will be at the regular prices.  Hope to see you soon!

Christmas on Consignment -- New Arrivals at The Courtyard

Sneak Peek for the Week #4   As promised, here is a peak of more seasonal items that came in to our shop today and are now ready to go to your home in time for your family and friends who are visiting for the holidays.  We have been selling a lot of the Christmas items so these won't last long!

The violin, trombone and trumpet as well as the antique rusty ice skates are so unique and will be different from decorations in anyone else's home.  The child's red plaid chair just needs a cute little one waiting for Santa to come and leave presents!

Christmas Santas in the Shop

Santa Claus is coming to town!!!  In fact, it looks as if he has already arrived at The Courtyard in Hinsdale, IL.  Tonight we had our last consignment appointment for holiday items and as a result, we now have at least a dozen "Father Christmas" figures gracing our shop. Here are just a few that will welcome you when you come to see for yourself all the new ornaments, dishes, wreaths, linens and other holiday items now available for sale.

Christmas is coming!

It looks as if RED is the color of the season!  During the month of November, we devote 2 evenings to taking in Christmas only consignment items.  Tonight was the first of those evening appointments and we now have a shop full of holiday items that should appeal to a large array of varying tastes.  Below are 4 luncheon plates that have a great tartan plaid border and each has a different picture in the center.  I think tartan plaid is a classic holiday look, is always fresh and fits in with most styles.

We also received vintage tablecloths, a carnival glass green punchbowl with cups, several small trees, stockings, stuffed jolly Santa's, ornaments, wreaths, angels, reindeer and dishes with matching cups.  Be sure to stop in and see what is new -- we also have numerous vintage Christmas Tree pins.  Everything is reasonably priced so that you can take these items home for your own decorating plans or give as gifts.  Ho!
