Just arrived today -- 4/4/2016

Today's arrivals were large furniture pieces only and we received a lot of great new items.  We have a Campaign king size bed with large side storage pieces on either side.  The headboard is low and doesn't show well in the photo but there is lighting in the overhead piece.  Very nice look and would be great in a condo, loft or smaller home for extra storage.  

In addition to the bed shown above, we received two lovely green swivel chairs with a matching ottoman, several dining room tables and chairs, a lighted china cabinet, a white casual dining table with 6 matching chairs, sconces, a pair of matching chandeliers, Oriental rug, 2 sofas, many side chairs, mirror, armoire, small desk with bookcase top, and a lot of other wonderful items.

Bargain of the Week - Part 2

This is your lucky week!  Who knew that we would have 3 additional items donated today that we could reduce and offer to you?  The wicker desk is now just $25 and can be spray painted if you want another color.  Add a glass top for a smoother writing surface or make it into a vanity table.  The Oriental rug measures 9' x 13' and is priced at $595 - down from $1,200.  Lastly, the antique Captain's chair was $125 but can be yours for just $45.  Now how can you possibly pass this up?

BLOW OUT Sale for The Courtyard

Just wanted you to be able to see a few of the items that will be available at our sale this Friday and Saturday, April 17-18, 2015. Donated items have been marked way down and ready for you to take home.  Remember to look for the bright yellow tags! 

The pale gold upholstered chair is priced at $45 (there are 2 of these), the roll top desk $75, DR table with chairs $400 and the coffee table $75.

Busy, busy, busy!

We have a lot going on in the next 8 days -- First, Wellness House is celebrating their 25 year anniversary and are having a tea on Friday, April 10th for all the volunteers at both Wellness House and The Courtyard.  To allow all of our volunteers the opportunity to attend, the shop will be closed from 1:15 until 3:30 on Friday.  Second, Volunteer Appreciation Week begins on Monday April 13th so be sure to thank the volunteers at our shop when you come shopping.  Third, Saturday April 11th is the 2nd annual Home Show being held at Hinsdale Community House.  It will be open from 10 until 3 pm and all are welcome.  We will be located at Booth #2 so stop by and say hello.  Fourth, our BLOW OUT Sale will be taking place April 17-18th in our storage facility as well as some items in the shop.  We have drastically reduced donated items in both locations.  It is our way of thanking you for your loyalty and giving you the opportunity to purchase quality furniture at fantastic prices.  You will also have the opportunity to see many new things in the storage area that have yet to come into the shop so you can buy them before they are ever moved!  Remember to look for the bright yellow tags which will be on the donated items with the reduced prices.  YELLOW will be the color of this 2 day event.

Finally, here are some of the things that arrived this week at the shop.  A Pottery Barn rug, Ralph Lauren demi lune table, hand carved soapstone, leather top dresser, upholstered chair, needlepoint chair and Oriental carpet.  Come see for yourself -- there is something for everyone!

BLOW OUT Sale Event

YELLOW will be the color of our BLOW OUT Spring Sale Event.  It's coming!  The event everyone has been asking about!  We have scheduled this special sale for Friday and Saturday, April 17-18, 2015 from 10am until 4:30pm each day.  It's going to be so big that we need both the shop and the storage area to contain all the bargains.  Here's how it will work -- items that have been donated will be drastically reduced to unbelievable prices and marked with bright yellow tags and ribbons for easy identification.  Our goal is to sell ALL of these items because we need the space for new merchandise arriving weekly.  At the same time, there will be the ability to see and purchase all the new things in storage that have yet to come into the shop.

We can't store items that you purchase for more than a few days so have a plan in mind on how you can load your items to get them home.  As will all our events, we accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and Discover.  We can't place anything on PENDING or HOLD items for more than a few minutes while you call or text photos to someone -- we did this before and lost 3 potential sales on the same item while a customer tried to text pictures and then decided not to take the item!  We learn by our mistakes.
