The pale gold upholstered chair is priced at $45 (there are 2 of these), the roll top desk $75, DR table with chairs $400 and the coffee table $75.

The tall lingerie chest is now $75, the antique red velvet chair $25, white wicker chaise $25 and the 8x10 red Oriental rug is $125.  See you soon!!!

Last consignment day of the year

Sneak peek #49 -- Here are 9 of the new things that arrived today at The Courtyard.  This was our last consignment day of the year. We received a beautiful silver plate large pedestal punch bowl with 12 cups, chairs, side tables, lamps, Christmas ornaments, large French armoire and many jewelry items and vintage handbags.  Our next items will come into the shop on Jan. 5, 2015 so come now and find just the right item for your home or a gift for someone on your list.

And congratulations to the winner of our 2nd drawing for a $50 gift certificate -- Barbara lives out of state but we hope she will come soon to claim her prize!  Thanks to all of your who entered and took the time to let us know where you heard about us -- it is very helpful in our marketing campaign.

Storage is OPEN!

We are happy to announce that our storage facility will be open tomorrow, Thursday, November 20th from 10 am until 4:30 pm.  You can come see all the new merchandise that has arrived during the last few weeks and have the opportunity to purchase what you need for your home in time for the holidays.  We have rugs, sofas, patio sets, bookcases, armoires, dining room tables, chairs (some by Baker) and some other unusual pieces.  Come early for the best choices.  There are even a few very high end items that have been drastically reduced in hopes of finding a new home for them.  Wellness House wins and you win.  Come shop with us!

SPECIAL EVENT June 20-21, 2014

Attention!  Save the date!  Mark your calendar!  We are having a special event at our storage facility behind The Courtyard on Friday and Saturday, June 20 and 21, 2014 from 10:00 am until 4:30 pm each day.  There is a large assortment of merchandise ranging from beds to dining room tables and chairs, wing chairs, side tables, desks, lamps, rugs, china cabinets, benches, side chairs, pictures, chests, coffee tables -- just about anything your heart desires.

Most of these things are consignment items that have not yet been in the shop.  Because of that, we can't take offers but will sell at the price shown on the tags.  The advantage for you is that you get to see and have the opportunity to purchase these things before they come into the shop.  A few things are donated and we will be pricing them to sell quickly -- that helps you and Wellness House so it is a win-win for everyone.

For those who have been to our previous special events, you know that this works as "pay and go" meaning you need to be able to either take the item with you or arrange for pick-up within a very short time preferably by the end of the event on Saturday afternoon.  Our storage facility is temporary and we could be asked to move at any time so we don't have the ability to store your items for more than a few days.  Thank you for understanding and for helping us support Wellness House and all the wonderful work they do for people affected by cancer.  Come early!  And watch for our signs that will be on display the days of the sale at homes in the area.

New Consignment Items

Sneak peek of the week #11 --  another week, another selection of wonderful items consigned today and available for sale in our shop at The Courtyard.  Chairs, lamps, mirrors, sofas, rugs, cabinets, china,  paintings, tea sets, flatware, crystal and many other things are waiting for you to see them when we open tomorrow at 10:00 am.  We have customers who are faithful and come in every Tuesday to see what is new -- they often are waiting in line when the shop opens!  Don't miss out.  Valentine's Day is in just a few days and we have some lovely things that would make a great gift for the special person in your life.

Persian Silk Prayer Rug - Oriental Carpets

 

We have finally gotten around to pricing the dozen or so Oriental rugs that have come in from a local Hinsdale estate.  This rug is a beautiful coral colored Persian silk prayer rug that measures approximately 4ft. x 5ft. give or take a few inches and is 40-50 years old.  Stop in to take a look next week.  Our pictures cannot capture how beautiful these rugs are.  Price:  $1,400.    And speaking of pricing, our items are priced and consigned for 60 days.  After the first 30 days in the shop, the price of the item drops 15%.  If the item is still in the shop the LAST TEN DAYS of the consignment period, you may leave a bid on the item as long as the final price is over $50.  Please keep this in mind while shopping and take a good look at those tags.  Shoppers in the know keep coming back and often!
